Simply Project Hobby Horse had 3 main objectives:

1/  To create a legacy project from The Shrewsbury Circus Arts and Street Theatre Club, in the form of the CAST Clubs.

 

2/  To outreach into the local community to research hobby provision and to provide sign posts where possible to such provision.

 

3/  To outreach into the local community to demonstrate skill and circus equipment as a viable part of the local youth provision.

Training Extra:

In 2016 Nick and Margy complete DfE Tier 1 Autism Awareness in Schools and Tier 1 Autism Awareness (Post 16) Training.

Training News:

In 2016 Nick and Nicola completed Level 2 Youth Work Training and also both completed the 1 day Emergency at Work 1st Aid Course.  This makes three youth workers in the CAST Troupe.

Two of our leaders are now training as qualified youth workers and emergency at work first aiders. (Making 3 youth leaders and 3 teacher / lecturers)!

Work is progressing on the Skill System for outreach to youth groups.

This is the end of the research and development stage and the intitial planned round of delivered workshops, both in the form of the CAST Skill club and the free workshops to schools and youth Clubs.  With some delays on the website side of things, we now now move into the debrief and final postings of information stage.  Which we hope will lead on to continued research and development of the awareness of good hobby provision.
